John Mateyko IDEX Financial Peachcap Securities has become closely associated with trusted financial expertise and long-standing industry leadership. John Mateyko, APMA®, WMCP™, RICP®, serves as a Fiduciary Financial Planner and Managing Partner at IDEX Financial. His professional insights have appeared in major national publications including Forbes, Fortune, MarketWatch, Business Insider, TED, NY Weekly, CEO Weekly, LA Wire, Chicago Journal, San Francisco Post, and BuzzFeed.
John’s career foundations were built after graduating from Augustana College in 1998. He entered the financial industry in 1999 with Dean Witter in New York City. Over the years, he expanded his professional reach by serving as a Financial Advisor at respected institutions such as Atlas Securities, US Bancorp, Chase, and Fifth Third Securities.
In 2010, John took an entrepreneurial leap by founding IDEX Financial, headquartered in the well-known Zurich Towers in Schaumburg, IL. The firm’s footprint expanded further in 2018 with the acquisition of a financial planning practice in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dedicated to continuous improvement, John is currently pursuing the CIMA certification through the Yale School of Management. He also holds multiple professional designations, including the RICP® and WMCP™ from the American College of Financial Planning and the APMA® from the College For Financial Planning.
John resides with his family in Serenbe, a distinctive rural Georgia community celebrated for its design, sustainability, and national media features such as NBC’s Today Show. In 2021, he founded the Serenbe Athletic Association and now serves as Commissioner for the community’s co-ed Chicago-style Softball and Kickball leagues. His commitment to youth sports spans from coaching basketball in Schiller Park, IL between 2008 and 2013 to leading youth athletic programs in Serenbe from 2020 to 2021.
His creativity extends beyond finance. John Mateyko served as a part-time stand-in for Christian Bale during the filming of Batman Begins (2005) and Public Enemies (2009). His passion for theatre led him to create the SMZ Community Theater Group, a fundraising initiative supporting Acton Academy in Serenbe. The group has raised $451,000 to date. John produced and directed The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge (2021) and is preparing for the holiday production It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play slated for December 2023.
Personally, John’s life is filled with meaningful experiences. He proposed to his wife, Slavyana, at the fairy-tale setting of Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany. Their travels continued with a honeymoon along the Amalfi Coast and a babymoon in Rome and Lake Como. Their son, Sasha, attends summer camp at TASIS in Lugano, Switzerland.
John’s adventurous spirit is evident in his outdoor pursuits. He has scuba dived in stunning locations such as the Philippines, Hawaii, Mexico, Costa Rica, Italy, and Portugal, and even inside the whale shark exhibit at the Georgia Aquarium. His adventures also include racing as part of the foredeck crew on a Beneteau 50 to win the Midwinters San Francisco Bay Race and biking down the Haleakala volcano in Maui.
